ServiceNow version names and how to check the version in ServiceNow instance

How to find ServiceNow version in your instance?

To find what version of ServiceNow you are on, you can follow below steps:

1. Navigate to All tab

2. Type Stats in Navigation Search box

3. You will see Stats module link in Stats application section 

4. When you click Stats link, it will load the details page of stats.do. 

The details of ServiceNow version will appear at below line of text, for example, it is Washington DC here with Patch 4.

If you don't have admin access, you can type Stats.do in Navigation Search box and press Enter. It should the similar page as shown above.

ServiceNow version history:

From December 2011 onwards, ServiceNow started the naming convention of it's version with city name across the world. Prior to that, ServiceNow used to give the name of it's version based on respective month and year during release. Some of the ServiceNow versions were also set with names starting with Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring concatenated with corresponding year.

Starting with first version of ServiceNow, wherein it was called as GlideSoft, let's go through all it's different version names as mentioned below.
